Simple and Modern Website for an IT Leader
Kate Hash
Kate Hash is an experienced IT leader, woman in tech, millennial, and busy mom of two. from North Caroline. She is her own newsletter Parent Tech, where she writes for parents and caretakers overwhelmed with technology and unsure how to navigate new apps, screen time, appropriate use, and many other tech topics.
Besides the newsletter, Kate felt the need for her own website to host her blog on the same topic of the intersection of parenting and technology. For her first personal website, Kate chose Squarespace and our premium template Hustle&Heart. She also plans to launch her first online course in the nearest future, so Kate needed a stronger representation on the Internet.
Working on the template Kate achieved a minimalistic look, while also keeping it elegant and welcoming. She kept the template’s original palette with its moss green, pastel pink, and terracotta colors because it fitted her personal brand’s vibe.
Kate added beautiful portraits of herself, but also of her family, as well as polaroid-styled photos to make her voice sound more personal.
She made the website look more dynamic by adding interactive elements, like self-scrolling text.
The CV page she created looks exactly as it reads – as a CV, listing her experience in a clean and simple way.
