Australian consultant Kate has founded My Business Content to help small business owners with content marketing. She believes small businesses deserve big success. She helps them get them in front of the right people by better communicating who they are and what they do.
Like many other small businesses, Kate decided to go with Squarespace for her professional website. She has also bought a Squarespace Premium Template from us. Kate’s choice is Lora template – a perfect match for women-led consulting businesses.
Kate successfully leveraged Lora’s signature feature – stunning split sections. A split section opens up her homepage and other split sections find their use around the website.
In her color palette, she uses several different shades of terracotta and contrasts them with white backgrounds, white and black text, and grey details.
Kate is an advanced Squarespace user as she added several features to her website herself. One is a triangle section divider, which is CSS enabled. It is a small arrow-like triangle in the middle of the page at the end of a section that encourages users to scroll down.
Another thing she added is an online shop for her Canva-templates. Lora is a template for service-based businesses, so we do not have a pre-made shop page there. However, it is easy to add a shop page to any template.
